Man with Gastric Bypass Nearly Dies in Rikers
Michael Isolda went from 460 lbs. to nearly 160 lbs. after having gastric bypass surgery, and he nearly died in Rikers Island when corrections officers wouldn’t give him enough time to eat leading to emergency surgery when his stomach separated from his intestine.
